The Maungakiekie Vets get together weekly on both Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Just who is a Maungakiekie Vet?
Gentlemen Members of 55+ years qualify as Veterans at Maungakiekie.
Others...
Younger gentlemen members (but not junior members) who do not yet qualify as a "Veteran" are of course, welcome to play along with us but do not take part in the days competition.
Other members (but not junior members) of affiliated clubs, including visitors from overseas, at the discretion of the Vets Committee, may be invited to join the field.
Those visitors who qualify by age, will after payment of the ruling green fee and vets' competition fee be entitled to full entry into the day's event. This will make them eligible for all prizes for the day including "nearest the pin" and "holes in two".

Tuesday is the official Club Veterans Day and the Vets have right of way on the course from 8.30am onwards with a two-tee start.
A field of 50-60 Vets is usual on Tuesdays.
The Thursday Haggle
The Club's Thursday Haggle is a 'supplemental' Vets Day with a typical field 35-45 using a two tee start at the slightly earlier time of 7.40am.
Organised by the Vets, any member can join in the Thursday Haggle.
On thursdays we occasionally use a shotgun start to make way for Corporate Tournaments in the afternoons.
