Handicap Matchplay Competition in three divisions

QUALIFYING STABLEFORD ROUND
A qualifying Single Stableford round in three divisions based on age on day of qualifying:
55+ years (for Veteran's Cup)
45-54 years
22-44 years
The best 8 Single Stableford scores in each division qualify for the first round of handicap matchplay.

HANDICAP MATCHPLAY
All rounds will be played on Saturdays in the reserved tee times, either from 8.00am (morning) or from 11.21am (afternoon).

Players may decide, by mutual agreement, to play either ‘morning’ or ‘afternoon’ – in the event of them being unable to agree; if the playing date is an ‘even’ date ‘morning’ times will have prerogative, while ‘afternoon’ times will have prerogative on ‘odd’ dates.

However, to expedite matters, the first round draw will be arranged by the Golf Manager based on when each qualifier played their qualifying round – ‘morning’ or ‘afternoon’. Also, the finals will all be played from 11.20am regardless of the date.

The matches are all handicap matchplay based on each player’s course handicap on the day of each match. The player with the lowest handicap reverts to scratch and his opponent plays off the difference between their course handicaps.

PRIZES AND TROPHY
The winners, in each section, receive 60 Golf Shop Credits;
the runners-up receive 30 Golf Shop Credits.
The winner of the ‘over 55’ section also receives the ‘Veteran’s Cup’.
(There are no trophies for the other section winners.)

ENTRY
Entries close at 5.00pm on the Friday one week before Saturday’s qualifying round. All entrants must have paid their subs and match fees.

QUALIFYING NET MEDAL ROUND
Qualifying - blue tees - the best 16 net medal scores up to a maximum course handicap of 24.

RULES
A 72-hole Strokeplay event is played 36-holes on Saturday and 36-holes on the following Sunday.
All rounds are medal (no handicaps) played off blue tees.

TROPHY
Winner receives the Senior Championship Cup and 200 Golf Shop Credits.
Runner-up receives 125 Golf Shop Credits.

After entries close playing partners for the qualifying rounds are drawn around 6.00pm, in the Clubhouse lounge.

RULES
A 72-hole Strokeplay event is played over 2 consecutive weekends. 18-holes on Saturdays and 18-holes on Sundays.
The final weekend being the concurrent with the Senior Championships.
All rounds are medal (no handicaps) played off blue tees.

TROPHY
Winner receives the Intermediate Championship Cup and 150 Golf Shop Credits.
Runner-up receives 100 Golf Shop Credits.

QUALIFYING
Players must book their own qualifying time.
Qualifying - blue tees - the best 16 net Single Stableford scores up to a maximum course handicap of 24.

RULES
The competition is a Handicap Foursomes 36-hole event played on a Sunday.
Maximum course handicap: 24
Played from the blue tees; same teeing-off order on both rounds.

TROPHY & PRIZES
The best gross winners receive the Foursomes Championship Shield and each receive 100 Golf Shop Credits.
Runners-up each receive 60 Golf Shop Credits.

The best net winners each receive 100 Golf Shop Credits.
Runners-up each receive 60 Golf Shop Credits.

The best gross (18-holes am), best gross (18-holes pm), best net (18-holes am), best net (18-holes pm) all receive 20 Golf Shop Credits.

QUALIFYING
The winners and runners-up at the monthly medal events (February-September), from both the A-Grade (less than 14 course handicaps) and B-Grade (14+ course handicaps) automatically qualify for the Monthly Medal Playoff event in October.
If, in a particular month, a winner or runner-up has already qualified no additional qualifiers are included.

RULES
The competition is an 18-hole Net Medal event, based on current handicaps, with only one field (no A-Grade/B-Grade sections).

PRIZES
Winner receives 150 Golf Shop Credits.
Runner-up receives 100 Golf Shop Credits.
Third place receives 50 Golf Shop Credits.

Four-Ball Handicap Matchplay Competition

ENTRY
Entries close at 5.00pm on the Friday one week before Saturday’s qualifying round.

After entries close partners are drawn on that Friday, around 6.00pm, in the Clubhouse lounge, in full view of members. Both ‘morning’ and ‘afternoon’ qualifying teams are drawn from two equal pools of high and low handicaps.

QUALIFYING Best-Ball Stableford
Qualifying occurs, in reserved times, either ‘morning’ (from 8.00am) or ‘afternoon’ (from 11.00am), on the Saturday, one week after the draw. Competition – best ball stableford.
The qualifiers are also entered into the day’s event which is also pairs best ball stableford (Four-Ball BB)
The top 16 pairs from both the morning and afternoon qualifying are drawn to play in the 1st Round; 1st qualifiers v 16th qualifiers, etc.
There is no consolation field.

RULES
The matches are Four-Ball Handicap Matchplay. The lowest handicap in the group reverts to scratch and others reduce accordingly.

The handicaps are frozen for the entire event based on qualifying day handicaps.

The first round of matches are allocated morning or afternoon times based on the date (and therefore whether it is morning or afternoon dominant). From the second round, matches are arranged by the competitors as outlined by Club rules.

The final is played at 11.21am regardless of the date.

PRIZES & TROPHY
The winners receive the Hector Morpeth bowl and each receives 100 Golf Shop Credits.
The runners-up each receive 60 Golf Shop Credits.

ENTRY
Players choose their own partners.
Entries close at 5.00pm on the Saturday one week before Sunday’s qualifying round.
After entries close start times are drawn on that Saturday, around 6.00pm, in the Golf Shop.

QUALIFYING
Qualifying occurs from 10.30am, on the Sunday, one week after the draw.
Competition is Combined Stableford Matchplay from the White Tees.
The top-16 pairs are drawn to play in the 1st Round; 1st qualifiers v 16th qualifiers, etc.
If there are fewer than 14 pairs attempting to qualify the event will be reduced to the top 8 pairs.


RULES
The matches are Combined Stableford Matchplay.
(Matchplay penalties will apply.)
All rounds, including the final, will be played from 10.30am on Sundays.


PRIZES & TROPHY
The winners receive the Top Dog Trophy and each receives 75 Golf Shop Credits.

Maximum course handicap of 24.

Winners receive the Veteran Foursomes Shield and each receives 40 Golf Shop Credits.

FINALS
Senior final (36-holes) will all be played at 7.30am and 11.49am
Intermediate’ final (18-holes) at 11.49am with the Senior finalists
Junior and C-Grade finals (18-holes) at 11.42am.

The runners-up each receive 50 Golf Shop Credits.
There are no trophies for any of the sections.

Throughout the playing season...

15 points are allocated every Saturday to the best five scores across all divisions in the “day’s event” (after any necessary count-backs);
  • 5 points for 1st place
  • 4 points for 2nd place
  • 3 points for 3rd place
  • 2 points for 4th place
  • 1 point for 5th place.

1st receives 150 Golf Shop Credits
2nd receives 100 Golf Shop Credits
3rd receives 50 Golf Shop Credits

Throughout the playing season...

For each full-playing member the best gross score for each of the 18-holes is selected from all his Saturday rounds during the “playing season”.
At the end of the season, 50% of each member’s course handicap (on the last Saturday of the “playing season”) is deducted from the 18-hole best gross to create the 18-hole best net (eclectic) score.

PRIZES
1st receives 150 Golf Shop Credits
2nd receives 100 Golf Shop Credits
3rd receives 50 Golf Shop Credits

Throughout the playing season...

Best gross score in the Saturday field, in each of the four divisions (Senior, Intermediate, Junior & C-Grade).
The first person to record a specific total is the holder until his score is bettered.

1st in each of four divisions receives 100 Golf Shop Credits.
